Job Summary:

Our client is an established civil and structural engineering consultancy with offices across the East of Scotland. They are currently looking to appoint a Civil Infrastructure Engineer to their dedicated project team in Glasgow. The ideal candidate will have experience of local infrastructure design and will have the opportunity to assist in a variety of work spanning the residential, education, healthcare and commercial sectors.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

• Preparation of designs and drawing in accordance with technical design standards
• Undertaking feasibility and pre-planning assessments of engineering infrastructure
• Development of preliminary and detailed designs for the drainage, roads and earthworks elements of infrastructure schemes
• Preparation of technical documents and engineering reports
• Liaison with clients, regulators and other stakeholders
• Management and mentoring of graduates and review of their technical outputs
• Delivery of project work on time and to budget

Qualifications / Experience:

• Degree educated in a relevant discipline (e.g. BEng/ MEng Civil Engineering)
• Chartered or working towards chartered status with a recognised professional institution (e.g. ICE)
• Knowledge of infrastructure design at concept, feasibility and preliminary level
• Experience in the use of relevant software is desirable (e.g AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Microdrainage, PDS)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Full UK Driving License

Job Summary:

My client is a leading environmental and planning consultancy with a strong and diverse pipeline of projects throughout the UK, Ireland and abroad. They are currently seeking to appoint an EIA Consultant to their Glasgow office. The EIA Consultant will work closely with the EIA/ Planning team and other in-house specialists on projects spanning the infrastructure, renewables, property, energy, petrochemicals and property sectors.

Responsibilities:

Some key aspects of the role include:
• Support project managers in the coordination of EIAs for a range of development proposals
• Liaise with EIA project team members and other environmental specialists
• Organise access to sites to undertake surveys, plan the survey programme and draft front end Environmental Statement (ES) chapters
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders

Qualifications/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
• Relevant first or second degree
• Experience assisting with EIAs within a consultancy environment
• Membership of relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA/ RTPI) is desirable but not essential
• Good knowledge of UK planning policy
• Excellent report writing and communication skills

Job Summary:

I am currently recruiting for an Acoustic Consultant or a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join the Glasgow Environmental Assessment team of a respected dedicated environmental consultancy made up of EIA specialists, town planners, ecologists, hydrologists and landscape architects.

You will have the opportunity to manage and assist on an exciting range of environmental acoustics projects for a host of clients across the energy, residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Key responsibilities include:
• Manage and contribute to EIA chapters, noise modelling, environmental permitting, application of NPPF, BS4142
• Develop and design noise monitoring programmes and provide noise mitigation advice
• Provide technical guidance and undertake report writing, survey work, data collection and review
• Liaise with clients, colleagues and stakeholders and conduct public and formal consultation
• Business development of new and existing clients

Qualifications / Experience:

The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Degree or Masters in relevant subject (e.g Acoustics / Environmental Science)
• Full member of IoA and chartered or near chartership is desirable
• Demonstrable experience undertaking noise assessments within a similar consultancy environment
• Experience of using noise modelling software (e.g. SoundPlan, CadnaA) is desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
